Whether you’ve just graduated from high school, been
working a while, are changing careers or simply love to learn,
HCC has a program to fit your
needs. From business to culinary arts, engineering to criminal
justice,
if you want to study it, chances are you’ll find it here.
HCC offers two degrees: the Associate in Arts (A.A.) and the Associate
in Science (A.S.), as well as many certificate options.
Associate Degrees and Certificates
- Associate Degrees can be completed in as little as two years full time, or part time at a pace that suits you. Because it can be challenging to complete most degree programs in two years, some students opt to take slightly longer, especially if they have work and/or family responsibilities. Degrees prepare you for a career or transfer to a four-year college or university. They require completion of at least 60 credits, usually specific major-related courses and a flexible choice of electives.
- Certificates can be completed in as few as two semesters full time, or part time at a pace that suits you. They are designed to provide expertise in a particular field so you can launch a new career, strengthen current skills, or pursue an interest. Certificates often require the completion of nine or more related courses.
Small class sizes, flexible course times, and opportunities
to learn from your home or office are just some of the ways HCC
helps you succeed. You’ll have access to dedicated professors
and many programs include internship and
Co-op opportunities so you can gain valuable work experience.
